Agape was an avatar of The Corruption, belonging to the Divine Chain cult.

It is found, malnourished and sickly, in the woods outside the Divine Chain compound in Arkansas. It was immediately taken in because their finders “couldn’t help but love” it[1]. Upon meeting this dog, cult leader Claude Vilakazi took it in, naming it Agape, and spending long amounts of time in his chambers with it. Though Agape is not seen again, the strain of Corruption that eats away at the community only starts after its arrival.

Trivia[]

  • Agape is a Greek word meaning spiritual or metaphysical love as opposed to sexual, romantic, or platonic love.
  • They are one of a handful of animal Avatars, including The Little Beetle (a fellow Corruption avatar) and The Monster Pig (Avatar of The Flesh),
  • It is likely that in the Post Change world, it rules over the domain of the Sick Village. This can be backed up due to several factors;
    • The domain has an unhealthy dog yapping in the beginning[2]
    • There are lingering themes of love, distrust, community, and impurity represented by fungal and diseased infection spreading unseen in the statement given.[2]
